Talented Jazz Bates-Chambers will be tuning in to watch the start of the new series of the Voice tonight – despite being knocked out of the show last year.
The soulful singer made her TV debut in front of millions of viewers on series three of the hit BBC One talent show.
Jazz, from Sandiacre, said: "It was an incredible experience and it's opened so many doors for me. I don't have any regrets.
"I can't wait to watch this evening to see what talent there is."
The 19-year-old kicked off her time on the show by singing a rendition of Gnarls Barkley's hit 'Crazy' in front of judges Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue, Will.I.Am and Ricky Wilson.
Jazz said: "The judges were all really nice. Will.I.Am surprised me the most because although he was lovely, he was very shy which is strange because on the show he's very out there and crazy."
This year, pint-sized pop princess Kylie has been replaced by feisty British singer Rita Ora.
Jazz, who was born at the Queen's Medical Centre, said: "I'm excited to see what she's going to be like.
"She's a bit like myself because she's opinionated, but in a good way. She'll tell you what she thinks."
The singer missed out on a place in the final 12 during the knockout rounds after her performance of Beyonce's 'Work It Out'.
Despite winning over Will.I.Am and Tom Jones, her coach Ricky Wilson, the lead singer of the Kaiser Chiefs, left out the local singer when whittling his team down to three.
She said: "I was very sad at the time because the show completely consumed me – it became my life."
Since her time on the show Jazz handed out courageous awards at the Post's Heroes Awards in May and became a judge at Nottingham's Top Talent, held in the Royal Concert Hall, in September.
The former pupil at the Friesland School said: "It's nice that the city is still bothered a year on. It's wonderful to have such amazing support from my home town."
Jazz will be lending her talent to the stars of the future as on Tuesday she will start vocal coaching at the Nottingham Vocal Academy.
She is also starting a project this month with the Voice's vocal coach, Ali Tennant, and music producer Michael Angelo.
She said: "I'm very excited. Hopefully we're going to write an album together."
The Voice returns on Saturday on BBC One at 7pm.
