Heavy snow forecast for Nottingham could now disrupt rush hour traffic, the Met Office has warned.
Forecasters released an updated yellow weather warning for snowy conditions across the East Midlands, predicting the snow will arrive around 4pm.
Snow up to 8cm deep could fall in some places in the county, but it will gradually ease throughout Wednesday morning.
This means icy road conditions and possible delays to transport and travel.
The weather warning is in place until midday on Wednesday and affects the whole of the East Midlands.
Tuesday got off to a chilly start, with mist and fog patches slowly clearing during the day. A maximum temperature of 3°C is expected.
