A woman has died after a car crash in Kinoulton this morning.
The 50-year-old woman was driving a grey Volkswagen Golf car along Swab's Lane when the vehicle left the road just before 9am.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car also contained the woman's two children, a boy aged seven and a four-year-old girl, who do not appear to be injured.
Police do not currently believe any other person or vehicle was involved.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and to anyone who followed the vehicle prior to the collision.
