Once they were surfacing from the unknown and now they've performed at the closing ceremony for the Commonwealth Games and bagged a slot on the FIFA 15 soundtrack. It's safe to say big things lay ahead in 2015 for Scottish synthpop trio Prides.
Performing at the intimate Bodega was a change of scenery for the cheeky chaps after playing to a much bigger crowd in London the previous night but Nottingham fans did not shy away from showing their support as they opened with Cold Blooded.
They are often compared to fellow Scottish synth outfit Chvrches, yet Prides combine the look of a stereotypically well-dressed rock band with an edge of upbeat funky electro-pop... so pretty much a preppy-pop Chvrches.
Latest single Higher Love loosened up the young crowd, while new song Just Say It had them mesmerised at the vocal talent of lead singer and keyboardist Stewart Brock.
But the highlights were I Should Know You Better, Strong Enough and Out Of The Blue.
Ending with fan favourite Messiah, there's no reason not to see these young lads coming back to the city playing a bigger venue. Their confidence and delivery would suit the arena.
