The sentencing of a man convicted of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman has been adjourned.
Jermaine Robinson, 27, of Basford Road, Basford, was due to be sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court today.
The case was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
Robinson was found guilty of the sex attack and grievous bodily harm at trial.
Jurors had heard how he met his victim in Alfreton Road, Radford, after she claimed a man in a car who would not leave her alone in the early hours of June 26.
She got talking to Robinson and they walked off and had a drink together behind some shops.
After a while, Robinson tried to kiss her neck and asked her for sex but she refused.
He had suddenly leapt down steps and attacked her, punching her and knocking her unconscious with a brick. She came round to find herself at the top of the steps being sexually assaulted.
