MORE than 20 flood warnings remain in place for Notts.
And this morning the Environment Agency issued a flood warning for the River Trent at Sawley and Long Eaton.
However, it added that river levels are expected to fall throughout the course of the day.
Other areas under threat include Holme Pierrepont and Newark.
The flooding has also led to road closures in the area.
The A617 in Kelham is closed between Blacksmith Lane and the A616, and the B683 in Bestwood Village is also shut.
The National Watersports Centre at Holme Pierrepont is closed until further notice due to severe flooding.
Notts County Council, which runs the centre and the surrounding country park, is advising people to stay away.
"We know that people like to go to the Watersports Centre to walk and cycle, especially at this time of year," said general manager Phil Machin.
"However, due to flooding and for safety reasons, both the centre and the country park are closed until further notice."
The park and ride at Queen's Drive in Lenton will be closed on Boxing Day.
