NOTTINGHAM Forest are edging closer to the signing of Millwall striker Darius Henderson.
The Lions striker is available on a free transfer, with his deal at the New Den set to expire in the summer.
Henderson is top earner at the London club and manager Kenny Jackett has already bolstered his attacking options with the addition of Nathan Tyson.
The former Forest man has joined from Derby on loan for the rest of the season and, while he has already picked up a slight injury, Jackett is willing to let 31-year-old Henderson move on.
Forest may still also pursue their interest in Andrija Delibasic, the Rayo Vallecano front-man, as Alex McLeish looks to bolster his attacking options.
The 31-year-old Montenegrin international has won promotion into the Spanish top flight twice, with his current club and with Hercules.
But their interest in Marcos Alonso may already been ended, with the Bolton defender close to securing a move to Italy
The 22-year-old is out of contract in the summer and Forest were among a number of Championship clubs monitoring the situation.
But Fiorentina are understood to have moved into the driving seat, after offering the former Real Madrid player a deal to take him to Serie A on a Bosman free transfer at the end of the campaign.
