A RADFORD man is today due in court charged with murdering James Brodie.
Dean Betton, 32, of Raleigh Street, will appear before Lincoln magistrates this morning.
Brodie has been hunted by police ever since the murder of jeweller Marian Bates during a botched robbery at the Time Centre, Arnold, in September 2003.
He was 19 at the time and has made no contact with family or friends for more than nine years.
Police confirmed for the first time this week that they believe he was murdered.
It came as they began to search land at Maize Farm, East Heckington, Lincolnshire, where they believe Brodie might have been buried.
Officers said yesterday that the search had now finished but no body had been found.
Betton was arrested on Wednesday along with a 31-year-old man, believed to be Craig Moran, formerly of Bestwood.
The 31-year-old has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
