A TOURISM organisation has joined forces with Notts County Cricket Club to maximise the economic benefit of this summer's Ashes Test match.
On the day the first tickets for the clash between England and Australia at Trent Bridge were sent out, Experience Nottinghamshire announced it is determined the city and county doesn't miss out.
Jennifer Spencer, chief executive of the organisation, said: "We have to take advantage of the huge economic impact this event can have."
Hotels, bars and restaurants are among the businesses likely to benefit most from the high-profile clash.
All tickets sent out will include a flyer detailing places of interest in the area, including Wollaton Hall.
Most tickets for the match, taking place from July 10 to 14, have now sold out.
It is the first time since 2005 an Ashes Test match has been held in Nottingham.
