A MAN has been jailed for 16 years after he repeatedly raped a girl who described herself as his "sex slave".
Craig Walker was told by a judge the damage he had done to the girl was "simply incalculable".
He admitted raping her on eight occasions, being involved in sexual activity with her and a separate charge of common assault on a woman.
The girl told police she felt like a sex slave and said she was there to give Walker pleasure. The girl, who was eight when the abuse started, had to perform sexual acts on Walker and was repeatedly raped.
Prosecutor Dawn Pritchard told Nottingham Crown Court yesterday: "He would always offer her money."
The offences came to light at school when she filled in a questionnaire and indicated she had been sexually abused.
She told police, when they interviewed her, that she felt like a prostitute; she was selling her body and forced to into sex.
She was relieved about speaking with police about her ordeal, the court heard.
Walker, 29, of Ribblesdale Court, Beeston, was arrested and denied the charges.
He was on bail for the offences when he committed the separate offence of assault.
He grabbed a woman and screamed in her face, the court heard.
Julia King said, in mitigation, that Walker would welcome help and accepted he had committed despicable offences.
After he was charged, he had submitted a defence statement to the court initially disputing the sexual allegations.
However, he decided to plead guilty at a hearing last month and the case was listed for sentencing yesterday.
Miss King said she accepted Walker, who had no previous convictions, had pleaded guilty late in the day.
Judge Michael Stokes QC told her: "He says he is disgusted with himself." He imposed the 16 years, with an additional extended licence period of five years to monitor Walker on his release.
And he told him: "The damage you have done to that child is simply incalculable, and you say to your counsel you will receive help. No human being – worthy of the description – needs help not to repeatedly rape an eight-year-old girl."
Walker will serve two thirds of his sentence before he can be considered for release.
When he does re-enter society, he will be subject to a Sexual Order Prevention Order, disqualified from working with children and will sign the sex offenders' register for life.
