RADI Majewski believes Billy Davies is the man to get the best out of him – and the rest of the squad – at Nottingham Forest.
The Polish midfielder struck a spectacular hat-trick as Davies took charge of his second game since returning as manager.
Majewski says he has 'already forgotten' about his goalscoring heroics in the 6-1 win over Huddersfield, as the Reds prepare to face Charlton tomorrow.
But he believes the motivational powers of Davies can continue to inspire him between now and the end of the season.
"He does motivate me. He expects 100 per cent from us in everything we do," said Majewski. "He is the sort of person who will not let us drop our standards.
"I do not speak to him too often, but he does give me advice when he does.
"It is difficult to put your finger on (how Davies inspires), but I hope to continue that level of performance and score more goals.
"He changes small details. But those small details make the difference.
"He has told us that we have a good squad, that we have the ability to be in the play-off places easily – and that we should not waste that.
"He says we should play that well in every single game we are involved in."
Majewski believes the midfield diamond Davies has fielded for much of his first two games can work in his favour, as it gives him the freedom to get forward.
"In the formation we are playing in, I believe I should be in the box a lot. I scored the first goal like that," he said.
"I had so many shots, I do not remember having as many shots as I have had in the last two games, so I should score some goals.
"The third one was in the middle of the goal, so I think it was the keeper's mistake. The second one was perhaps better. But, as I have said, I have already forgotten them, the goals.
"I forget about the Huddersfield game now. Yes, I scored some goals and we won 6-1, but now I am focused on making sure we perform to the same level in the next game."
Majewski says that, less than two weeks after his return, Davies already had Forest performing with belief.
Forest drew 1-1 with Bolton on Saturday, but could easily have won after creating a host of chances.
And they will head to The Valley in a positive frame of mind, says Majewski: "He has brought motivation and confidence back to the players.
"We played more aggressively and with more energy. That is what he expects.
"He is always shouting from the touchline, so everyone on the pitch feels under pressure to produce.
"If you don't play well, you can be dropped to the bench, so everyone is playing with more desire.
"At the moment, everything is superb."
