COUNCIL tax is set to be frozen for Hucknall residents for a third year running.
Ashfield District Council will be asked to approve a third freeze for the district at a meeting on Monday, March 4.
The authority, which was praised for its financial management by the Audit Commission in 2011 and 2012, meets to approve its budget plans for the next financial year.
Council leader John Knight, who represents Kirkby West, said: "I am pleased that we have been able to recommend freezing council tax once again.
"If council agrees to the proposals, our residents will pay no more council tax to Ashfield than they did in 2010-11.
"We appreciate how difficult the recession has been for the residents of Ashfield and will play our part, where we can, to avoid adding to their financial problems."
