JUSTIN Bieber fan Scarlett Leitch couldn't believe her luck when she found out she'd won the Post competition to meet her pop idol.

Fourteen-year-old Scarlett, of Burton Joyce, was surprised by her mother Caroline Leitch as she got off the school bus yesterday.

She was waiting at the stop with the Post sales team and a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Bieber.

Scarlett said: "I was confused when I saw my mum with the Justin Bieber cut-out.

"But when I realised I had won, I was just so surprised. I am so excited.

"I've got his albums and lots of posters. I went to his last concert in Nottingham but I've never met him."

Scarlett had planned to join the queue for tonight's Justin Bieber concert at the Capital FM Arena as early as 9am today.

But her prize means she will be taken to the back stage area before the show and then escorted into the crowd. It also means she has two spare tickets, which she had bought before the Post competition.

"I don't know what I will do with my time now [this morning]," she said. "I'll probably just prepare, get ready and relax.

"I am so excited. I've been a fan for ages. I don't know what questions I will ask him yet, but I'm sure I will think up some tomorrow."

Mrs Leitch, 46, who has the Post delivered daily, said she bought an extra seven copies on Wednesday.

A golden ticket was printed in every copy of that day's newspaper and each one had a unique number printed on it.

Readers had to check Thursday's Post to find out if their ticket number matched the winning number printed in the paper.

However, no one claimed the prize so the Post announced a different winning number on its Facebook site every half an hour yesterday.

Mrs Leitch, who works part-time in accountancy at Burton Joyce Primary School and has read the Post most of her life, learned about the Facebook draw in yesterday's paper.

Mrs Leitch, added: "First of all, it was lucky I was at home because normally I would be out and about.

"But as I was, I just thought 'I might as well turn Facebook on' and regularly refreshed the screen.

"When I saw I had won it, I was unbelievably surprised. I couldn't believe it.

"I was still shaky hours afterwards. I was absolutely over the moon and really chuffed for Scarlett, who has been a fan since Justin Bieber has been on the scene.

"I'm excited too. I think he's lovely. I will scrub up and turn up in my best gear when we meet him."
