MATT Green struck his 17th goal of the season as Mansfield Town continued their impressive run with a 1-0 win against rock-bottom Telford.
The 49th-minute goal secured the three points and made it nine wins from their last ten matches for the Stags as they moved up to third in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
But the scoreline could have been far greater after Mansfield rattled the woodwork four times in the first half, with Louis Briscoe, Adam Murray and Lee Stevenson all hitting the bar while Colin Daniel struck the post.
Telford had Karlton Watson sent off on 75 minutes after he picked up a second yellow card for a foul on Murray. It compounded a dreadful afternoon for the central defender, after he was robbed of the ball by Green for what proved the winning goal.
