A 22-YEAR-OLD man today denied the murder of his ex-girlfriend.
Cornelius Brown, of Greenhill Lane, Riddings, Alfreton, Derbyshire, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court this morning.
He is accused of murdering 30-year-old Jade Riley-Ward, who died from stab wounds.
She was found in a house on Burke Drive, Somercotes, last September.
Brown, wearing a dark coloured pinstriped suit and tie, spoke to confirm his name and enter his plea during a short plea and case management hearing.
It was decided his trial will take five to seven days and will start on August 12.
Brown was remanded in custody by Judge Michael Stokes QC, the Recorder of Nottingham, until trial.
