NOTTS County boss Chris Kiwomya believes his players are giving their all for the club.
The Magpies' 1-0 win against Scunthorpe on Saturday came after chairman Ray Trew blasted players for not trying in the wake of their 1-0 defeat against Preston last Tuesday night, saying he won't tolerate anyone not giving their all for the club.
"I think the majority of the team do," said Kiwomya.
"You have just got to be committed.
"They are a good bunch of boys and you could see they were at it against Scunthorpe.
"They worked hard and we finally got the goal to win the game."
Notts are now just six points off the top six in League One, but boss Kiwomya insists: "I'm not looking at the play-offs."
They closed the gap with the home victory over the Iron at Meadow Lane, defender Dean Leacock scoring a dramatic winner on his return from suspension.
But Kiwomya is not going to talk up their chances of making a late surge up the table from 11th spot.
"We're just going to focus on the next game and try to play well," he said.
Notts now face four of the top six in their next four games, in Swindon Town, Brentford, Yeovil Town and Bournemouth.
And it is those games that will now decide their fate this season.
"They will be massive tests for us," said Kiwomya.
"If we can get six points or four points in the next two games who knows what might happen."
Kiwomya, meanwhile, looks to have shelved plans to sign a striker in the loan market.
"If we win games I probably won't need any," he added.
He did want to bolster his frontline, after John Cofie and Jacob Blyth both left Meadow Lane at the end of their one-month loan deals.
But he now plans to stick with the players he has got for the run-in.
"Loan signings are going to cost money and is the right player available, are we going to get into the play-offs?," he said.
"It's only worth getting one in if we're going to get into the play-offs and at the moment it's still out of our hands."
