RESIDENTS have voted for West Bridgford as the "coolest" place in Notts.
Readers have ranked West Bridgford as the coolest place in the county, ahead of the Lace Market, Hyson Green and Mapperley Top.
Twenty five per cent of people voted for West Bridgford, with 138 votes cast overall.
Newark and Southwell weighed in with the smallest amount of votes, with just ten per cent of people voting for them combined.
In a separate move, Hockley was ranked among the top 30 coolest places to live in Britain in a poll conducted by The Times.
The study rated the city-centre area as the 15th coolest place to live in Britain – placed just behind Jesmond in Newcastle and Whitstable, in Kent.
The survey said: "Slap in the city centre beside the swish Lace Market apartments, Hockley is a mecca for cool types. Besides its art galleries, new-age outlets and cafe culture, the beating heart of Hockley is the Broadway cinema, which hosts regular festivals."
