THIEVES stole a delivery of chocolate Easter eggs from a lorry parked overnight - near the north Notts village of Egmanton. Notts Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident, which happened sometime between 10.30pm last night and 5.30am this morning. Four pallets of chocolate eggs were stolen from a lorry which was parked on the A1, at Weston, near Egmanton. Police Sergeant Brendon Hunt said: "If you were travelling on the A1 in the Weston area overnight and saw anything or anyone out of the ordinary please call us. "We would also urge anyone who is offered cut-price Easter Eggs to think about where they may have come from and get in touch with us if they suspect they may be stolen. Any information could help us 'crack' this investigation." Anyone with any information about this incident should contact PS Hunt on the non-emergency number 101 ext 856 3370.
