THE POWER went out in part of a North Notts town last night after wires to an electricity generator were stolen.
The cut wires left two premises without power.
It happened in Babworth Park, Babworth around 10pm and the power was out until just after 1am.
Detective Sergeant Rob Lloyd, of the Force's metal theft reduction team, said: "No power means no lights and, more pertinently, no heating.
"Power cuts are inconvenient at the best of times, but to steal cables leading to disruption in electricity supply in this freezing weather is downright irresponsible and frankly dangerous."
If you know who did this or have any information, contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
