Former Mansfield man Mick Philpott, his wife Mairead and family friend Paul Mosley have been convicted of killing the couple's six children by starting a fire at his Derby home.
The verdict came after a 31-day trial, with a majority verdict of 10-2.
The six Philpott children – Duwayne, 13, his sister, Jade, 10, and their brothers, John, nine, Jack, eight, Jesse, six and Jayden, five, all died from the effects of smoke inhalation following the fire at their home in Victory Road, Allenton, on May 11 last year.
The jury was sent out last week to consider their verdicts and told this afternoon by the judge, Justice Kate Thirlwall, that she would accept a majority verdict.
The three defendants were all convicted on all six counts of manslaughter and will be sentenced tomorrow.
After the verdict relating to Mick Philpott was returned, he made the sign of the cross and kissed his necklace six times - before saying: "It's not over yet, mate."
The prosecution had told the court they hatched the plan to start a fire in the hallway of the Philpotts' home in the early hours of May 11 last year.
Their case was that the plan, "which went tragically wrong", was to frame Philpott's former live-in lover, Lisa Willis, who walked out on him with her five children three months before the blaze.
All three defendants had denied the charge.
The jury had not been told that Philpott had been convicted of stabbing a previous girlfriend 13 times when he was aged just 21, in 1978. He was jailed for seven years.
The jury was also not told Philpott had held a knife to the throat of another girlfriend some years later.
Prosecutors had wanted to reveal the information as evidence of Philpott's controlling and violent behaviour.
