A POST campaign to collect tins for food banks in the run up to Christmas has been nominated for a national award.
We asked our readers to help us to collect five tons of tins which would then be handed out to the needy in the county.
We smashed our target of five tons, eventually collecting 11.4 tons of food.
And now, it has been shortlisted for Campaign of the Year at the Regional Press Awards.
The awards will be handed out in a ceremony at Savoy Place, London, on May 17.
