Around 3,000 people are expected to take to the street for a Sikh procession in Nottingham on Sunday.
The annual procession will mark the Vaisakhi festival, and will showcase martial arts, Bhangra dancing and drummers.
Chief Constable of Nottinghamshire Police Chris Eyre will be attending the event, which he thinks is a great way for communities to come together and share Sikh culture.
The event will see some central roads in Nottingham blocked off during the walk, which starts at 12.30pm. Expected to last between two to three hours, the following roads will be temporarily blocked off during the event:
- Gregory Boulevard, Radford
- Radford Boulevard
- Ilkeston Road
- Derby Road
- Alfreton Road, Radford
- Radford Road, Hyson Green
- Western Boulevard, Whitemoor
- Vernon Road, Basford
