Jobs fair to promote employment opportunities

JOBSEEKERS are being urged to attend an employment event. A jobs fair will be held in the Ballroom at Newark Town Hall from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday April 24. The event has been organised by Newark and Sherwood District Council, Jobcentre Plus and Nottinghamshire County Council to promote current employment opportunities to local residents and support local employers with their recruitment needs. There will be a number of different industry areas promoting permanent and temporary job vacancies through local businesses including: Totemic, DHL, City & County Healthcare, Brownhills Motorhomes, Nottinghamshire Police - Specials, DiPSU, Future Prospects, Lincolnshire Co-op, Ambitions Personnel, NHS Nottinghamshire Workforce Team, PrimarySite, Pulse TrainHER, The Royal Navy & Royal Marines, Total Homecare Solutions, B&Q, Kingsman Antiques, Barchester Healthcare, Transline Resource Group, Newark and Sherwood District Council, Territorial Army, Bluebird Care, Reflect Recruitment, iWork -Nottinghamshire County Council and Traffix Group. The National Apprenticeship Service will also be promoting apprenticeship vacancies created via the 100 Apprenticeships Campaign along with Lincoln College and Vision Apprentices. Employment support services will be on hand to provide careers advice, and support and advice on developing a CV, job applications and interview techniques.
