THE first day of Spring has sprung in Nottingham - with temperatures set to rise to 17 degrees.
It will be the hottest day of the year so far.
Temperatures will reach their peak around 1pm but the sun will remain out for most of the day.
After a cold, wet and even snowy March, the sudden spike in temperatures should be a welcome change in Notts.
Unfortunately it looks unlikely the tropical climate will continue in to the week.
Monday will see temperatures fall to about 15 degrees and the met Office has warned that rain will be on the way from Tuesday.
