A security engineer has died after a suspected fall at a
factory.
The 50-year-old man, who has not been named, is believed to
have worked for the Thurmaston branch of ADT Fire and Security and died in
Nottinghamshire.
The Health and Safety Executive, which investigates
accidents in the workplace, said it is looking into the incident, which
happened at about midday, on Wednesday, May 1, at the Premier Foods factory, in
Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police are also investigating
the incident.
Police said the man was from Arnold, in Nottingham.
A spokesman for ADT Fire and Security said: "We regret to
confirm that an engineer sustained a fatal injury whilst attending a job at a
customer's site on the afternoon of Wednesday 1 May.
"Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with his family,
friends and colleagues and we are offering all of our support at this very
difficult and sad time.
"Employee health and safety is a constant and top priority
for ADT."
