Two men were rushed to hospital after a double-decker bus collided with a car on Mansfield Road this afternoon. The crash, shortly after 1pm, has left the driver of the Fiat Cinquecento in Queen's Medical Centre with serious injuries after the roof of the vehicle was removed to lift passengers out. Nottingham City Transport's bus driver is also at the QMD in a serious condition. Two passengers in the car suffered minor injuries, and no one else was hurt. Witnesses at the scene say a baby was in the back seat of the car, but was unharmed. Dev Bana, owner of Dev's Barbers, said: "I heard it crash, it sounded like a train coming to a halt. "After I rushed out, the driver had a bloody nose - he was not very well." The road is closed heading out of the city between Woodborough Road and Forest Road while police conduct their enquiries. The road remains open heading into central Nottingham.
