A VIOLENT thug randomly attacked a woman in the street after they shared the same train to Nottingham, a court heard.
Clive Morris punched Rebecca Fisher in the face for no reason when she got off the train from Peterborough.
She had witnessed Morris – who has previous convictions for robbery, battery and assault – having an argument with two men in her carriage.
After all four left the train separately, Miss Fisher walked to Station Street to buy milk from Tesco Express.
Morris, of St Michael's Avenue, Bilborough, suddenly appeared and lunged at her and punched her in the face.
Morris fled while Miss Fisher was taken to hospital for treatment to a cut to her face. Police traced him from CCTV footage.
At Nottingham Crown Court, the 25-year-old pleaded guilty to wounding Miss Fisher at 6.45pm on April 14.
She said the attack had been "completely unprovoked".
Sue Matthews, prosecuting, said: "She was a lone young woman coming back at night. There has been a continuing effect on her. It was a nasty strike to her that caused that injury."
When Judge James Sampson asked how the cut was caused to Miss Fisher's face, Morris replied: "I didn't use anything, other than my fist. I didn't use a weapon. I didn't hurt her in the head. I hit her in the nose."
His counsel, Clarkson Baptiste, asked the judge to sentence his client and consider deporting him to Jamaica, where he was born.
But the judge refused, preferring to wait for a full psychiatric report before sentencing him.
From the dock, Morris pleaded: "I just wish to go home.
"I just wish to go back to Jamaica. I can't live here. It drives me crazy. It's not very nice. I don't need to go to hospital."
The judge said it was not for him to decide whether Morris should be deported but a matter for the UK Border Agency.
He added: "I will be sentencing you in six weeks, which takes us to June 11.
"I will direct there be a psychiatric report."
