A survey by Savills estate agents has shown that Rushcliffe is the best place in the country for families to live.
Savills analysed schools, crime rates and housing facilities for every local authority and decided Rushcliffe was the best place for children to grow up.
The top 20 list of family sweet spots features only one city, St Albans, and is dominated by rural locations.
By contrast, London boroughs make up 80 per cent of the 20 worst locations for families to live, driven particularly by the lack of three bed plus properties. All local authorities in the bottom 20 are urban locations.
