RENOWNED family law specialist, Kelvin Henderson, has joined a Nottingham solcitiors.
As a well-known advocate in the Nottingham area for his level of expertise, he brings over 30 years' experience to his new role at Nelsons solicitors.
He been practicing at Sheffield firm Irwin Mitchell as an associate for the last eight years but previously worked in a number of senior roles at Nottingham firm Massers as a partner for 18 years.
Kelvin, of Nottingham, said: "I have spent a number of years working outside Nottingham but felt the time was right to come home and join a firm in my home town.
"When you specialise in family law you have to be more than just a lawyer. You need to understand how difficult it can be for clients especially at the beginning of their case and I enjoy helping them get the best possible outcome.
"I'm thrilled to be joining Nelsons as it's a regional heavy weight with a fantastic reputation and I know I will be joining a very experienced and established family law team."
Kelvin regularly advises on the legal consequences of a family breakdown, the fair division of assets and children matters and has worked on complex family law proceedings, acting on behalf of both parents and children.
He has been a Deputy District Judge on the Midland Circuit since 2004.
The appointment sees Nelsons continue to strengthen its family law department, following the arrival of partner and childcare specialist Melanie Bridgen, who joined Nelsons Derby office earlier in the year (April), and the hire of three further specialists in the Leicester office earlier this month.
The family law team at Nelsons Nottingham office now comprises seven specialists within a team of 19 family lawyers, making the firm one of the most experienced in family law in the East Midlands.
