LOCAL groups and organisations in Broxtowe are being urged to apply for grants of up to £2,000.
The funding, which is allocated through NHS Nottingham West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), as part of the Broxtowe Borough Partnership is available for projects which aim to reduce health inequalities in the following areas:
Smoking
Obesity
Alcohol and drugs
mental health
Older people
Physical activity
Domestic violence
Sexual health and teenage pregnancy
Improving the health of communities of the poorest health
Supporting young people with disabilities and promoting independence.
Councillor Jacky Williams, Chair of the Health Partnership said: "This funding has really
helped local groups to do big things with small sums of money and with the support of
the Partnership has really added 'healthy' value to communities".
The deadline for submission is July 17.
