PEOPLE with a keen interest in history are invited along to a Byron Pilgrimage Walk on Thursday, July 4.
The eight mile round trip will begin 10am at St Mary Magdalene Church, in the Market Place, Hucknall.
Anyone who wishes to take part in the free walk from St Marys to Newstead Abbey will learn interesting facts about the history of the area, particularly how it relates to the Byron family.
At the Abbey there will be a break, where refreshments may be purchased, before returning back to Hucknall.
No dogs are allowed on the walk.
The event is part of The Hucknall International Byron Festival from Thursday, June 27, to Sunday, July 7, which celebrates the life of the famous poet.
