FIREFIGHTERS were busy over the weekend with a series of call-outs.
Crews from Heanor station put out a bin fire in Fletcher Street, Heanor, at about 2.30pm on Saturday.
Police were told because it was believed to have been started deliberately. Crews from Heanor were later called to a recycling bin fire in High Street at about 8pm.
At 3.25am on Sunday, Heanor firefighters were called out again, with a crew from Ilkeston, to reports of a building fire in Cromford Road, Langley Mill.
When they arrived, they discovered a fire outside involving electrical cables.
Firefighters from Long Eaton were called to a hedge fire in Briar Gate, in the town, at about 11.25pm on Saturday.
Five metres of hedge were "well alight" when the crew arrived.
