TWO people were rescued by firefighters from a burning house in Mansfield.
Crews from Mansfield, Edwinstowe and Ashfield were called to the blaze in Beck Crescent at around 10.45pm yesterday.
They spent around two hours putting out the flames, rescuing the man and woman in the process.
The woman was given first aid at the scene by paramedics. Neither of the rescued people needed to be taken to hospital.
Firefighters also tackled a blaze in a semi-detached house in Wimbledon Road, Sherwood at 10.40pm yesterday.
Crews from Central, Stockhill and Arnold fire stations attended the blaze.
It was in the roof and first floor of the building. Smoke spread to adjoining houses.
There were no reports of people in the house at the time.
Crews left the scene at around 1.30am today.
