A SURVEYOR whose career includes a stint in the city council's estates department has come back to Nottingham after working in London.

Newly-qualified chartered surveyor Tom Donnachie has joined the city office of commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton.

Tom recently passed the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors' Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), and will be responsible for managing the firm's wide-ranging East Midlands property portfolio, acting for both national and regional investors.

Tom joins LSH from Workman LLP, where he was senior surveyor in the London office. He also worked as an assistant estates surveyor at Nottingham City Council.

He said: "Having lived and worked in London for the past three years, I wanted to move back to the East Midlands.

"Lambert Smith Hampton has an excellent presence and reputation in the area so it was a perfect opportunity to progress my career with the leading property experts."

Tom was awarded an MSc Property Appraisal and Management degree at Sheffield Hallam University. He also studied geography at Durham University.

Besides property, Tom is also a keen sportsman. He plays football for Melbourne Dynamo in the Midlands Regional Alliance and is a keen golfer and cricketer.

Liam Hawes, senior surveyor at LSH in Nottingham, said: "I am very pleased to welcome Tom to the team. He has a wealth of experience."
