We've scoured Twitter again this week for the best gossip from our favourite Nottingham celebrities...
Splendour pop diva @ninanesbitt is proving herself to be the next Paloma Faith with a series of kooky tweets about cats: "A kitten has literally just landed in my garden," she began. "Going to look after it till its owner finds it again, poor baby," she added: "It's raining kittens, hallelujah!" She'll be returning to Nottingham in October to play the @rescuerooms. West Bridgford indie band @Dog_Is_Dead, who played the main stage at Splendour festival showed just how tall sax player Trev really is with this photo tweeting: "Joss and Trev doing some sight-seeing."![]()
YOU'D be forgiven for believing that @jakebugg's status in Nottingham is such that they've even named a bus route after him. @nottmweekend's @erikpetersen spotted this on Beech Avenue in Carrington: "The 71 bus? The 68? Nah, I'll wait for the Jake Bugg."
BOY band Blue (@officialblue), who'll be at Rock City in October (yes, that's right, Rock City) have been experiencing a breakdown this week. "Roadside rescue!" they tweeted with this photo.![]()
THE celeb story of the week involved three stars arriving at College House Junior School in Chilwell on Wednesday. Hollywood actress Kate Beckinsale was there to unveil a commemorative plaque in honour of her dad and former pupil Richard, the star of 1970s sit-coms Porridge and Rising Damp. But no one expected her to be joined by actor Michael Sheen (the father of her daughter) and comedian @davidwalliams, who tweeted this photo saying: "Richard's widow Jude, Richard's daughter Kate and me with his fantastic new blue plaque."
COMEDIAN @jackwhitehall, who'll be at the @CapitalFMArena in March, had this to say on the imminent arrival (as was the case at the time of going to press) of Kate and William's daughter, tweeting: "The Queen wants the royal baby to arrive before her holiday. I think she's heading off to Ibiza for the closing parties! #royalraver".
RUSSELL Brand (@rustyrockets), who recently booked a return to the @CapitalFMArena for March, tweeted a photo with the character he voices in the latest big screen animation Dispicable Me 2, saying: "Well done you despicable little alter-ego #betterthanmyotherego."
THEATRE Royal 2013 panto star @davidhasselhoff is such a big name in LA that they changed the famous Hollywood sign this week in honour of his birthday. Or so you'd think from this photo The Hoff tweeted saying: "What a day!" It may just be Photoshopped.![]()
NEWARK'S Jay McGuiness (@JayTheWanted) of boy band The Wanted has been on a rare break back home to enjoy the sunshine with his family. He tweeted: "My mum is sat with a tin of beer in the garden, with a three foot lizard basking in the sun at her feet. #MyFamilyIsWeirdBecause"
COMEDIAN Al Murray (@ajhmurray), who has just booked a return to Nottingham Playhouse on September 24 as part of his latest The Only Way Is Epic tour, proved himself to be an adept chef when he joined Gordon Ramsay in Hell's Kitchen a few years ago. Although he's losing his culinary touch if this fish dish is anything to go by. He said: "If I learned one thing from Hell's Kitchen ordeal, in the restaurant trade presentation is everything. Tasty though."![]()
BEESTON'S Radio 1 presenter @AliceLevine also had her birthday this week and was sent a rather special card from her grandmother. "So my grandma really loves me," she said, revealing the 89p price sticker. It's the thought that counts.![]()
