Healthcare bosses are meeting the independent regulator today to give a progress report.
The watchdog, Monitor, intervened at Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust, which runs King's Mill and Newark Hospitals, in October.
The body is taking regulatory action at the trust after it emerged 120 tests to determine whether breast cancer patients could be helped by hormone therapy gave the incorrect result, leading to about 60 women not getting the best available treatment.
Monitor is also investigating the trust after quarterly losses of £5.9 million.
Interim chief executive, Eric Morton, will join interim chairman Mr Mellor and two other board members of the Trust for the report in London today.
The meeting is confidential and closed, but the results of reviews that are being conducted into the Trust will be published in December.
