CAR owners who have had their cars damaged while being towed have cost Nottingham City Council £2,000.
The figures, released under the Freedom of Information Act, show that three car owners have lodged claims in the last five years after their cars were damaged and the authority has paid out the money in compensation claims.
Other figures revealed by the council show that around 60,000 parking tickets are handed out per year which brings in around £1.7 million.
In 2012, 59,169 fines were handed out with the fines totalling ££1,647,150.25.
Up to June 12 this year, 22,400 tickets had been handed out, bringing in £516,546.
