TWO Notts men are wanted by police in connection with an investigation into an alleged plot to smuggle cocaine in to the country. The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU)said officers are looking for Kevin Machin, 35, and Ian Oldham, 36. An appeal and their photographs were published today after police arrested four other men across the country in a co-ordinated operation in April. Mr Machin is described as white, 5'8", with blue eyes and cropped light brown hair, and clean shaven, with a Midlands accent. He has a 2" scar on the left side of his face, another 2" scar on his left hairline, a 3" scar on his left arm, a tattoo saying 'Kev' on his right wrist, and a tattoo of a pitbull on his lower back. Mr Oldham, known as 'Iggy', is also described as white and speaking with a Midlands accent. He is 5'7", of stocky build, with blue eyes and balding shaven mousy hair, clean shaven, with the letters 'JJ' tattooed on his right arm and two scars on his left arm. Both are currently believed to be in Notts. They have links to and are known to have recently been to Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Arnold, Sherwood, Top Valley, Bulwell, Aspley, and Bilborough, but they also have contacts elsewhere in the county and in Derbyshire. Detective Sergeant Gary Tattersall of SEROCU said: "Machin in particular should not be approached by members of the public and anyone who sees either of them or knows of their whereabouts is asked to call 999 at once." People can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Four other men were arrested in Kent, Surrey and Derbyshire in the April operation. Percy Draper-Smith, 36, of Chertsey Lane, Staines; Adam Vohra, 30, of Welland Road, Hilton, Derbyshire; Nick Alliston, 44, of Simmons Road, Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, and Wayne Long, 43, of, Lichfield Close, Mansfield, Notts, are currently in custody charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine. They are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing, with a trial date currently set for 30 September at the same court. A fifth man, aged 31 and from Derbyshire, who was arrested on the same date and released on police bail at that time, is to have no further action taken against him.
