POLICE in Hucknall are running extra patrols in an attempt to cut down on burglaries.
They will be visiting people's homes in and around the town to make sure they are secure and giving advice when they are not.
A statement on the Notts Police website for residents says: "Please remember that you the community are an extension to the policing family and are the eyes and ears of our extended family.
"It's important that all incidents are reported including any suspicious vehicles and persons near or around dwelling properties."
