BILLY Davies believes it is a 'travesty' that Nottingham Forest did not secure victory over Burnley. The Reds boss was convinced his side had done enough to deserve victory over the table-topping Clarets, following their 1-1 draw. Sam Vokes had put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot, after Gonzalo Jara had been punished for a handball by referee Carl Boyeson. And, while Simon Cox drew the home side level, Davies was convinced Forest had done enough to deserve more than just a point. "It is a travesty that we did not take three points. I am sure you would agree, that there was only one team that was ever going to win the game," said Davies. "I was delighted with the way we nullified the team at the top of the league. There is no doubt that we deserved an awful lot more than we got. I am very proud of the players. "What I will say to you is that we played against the side at the top of the table. I am sure you would agree that, barring a five minute spell, it was total dominance. "As a team performance, I thought it was fantastic. Our heads did not drop. I told them at half time that we would create a lot of chances. Tactically we were excellent. We nullified their game plan." Davies also disputed whether Jara should have been punished for handling, when he blocked Kieran Trippier's driven cross inside the box. "I agree with the linesman. I am sure their manager will agree with the referee. But I certainly agree with the linesman (who did not give the penalty)," he said. "I have seen it again. I agree with the linesman. I have not spoken to the referee about it."
