An Ilkeston man has been charged with the murder of a 27-year-old woman.
Ian Meakin, 48, of Critchley Street in Ilkeston is due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning.
Police were called to a complex of flats on Critchley Street at 9pm on Sunday, May 4, where the woman had been injured. She was taken to hospital and died a short time later.
The woman has not yet been formally identified.
