It has been a rather soggy 24-hours for much of Nottinghamshire as heavy rain and hail storms have battered the city and county.
The Met Office's amber warning is still in place with thunderstorms expected to continue well into the evening of Saturday July 19.
It will remain warm and humid overnight with patchy cloud and some mist patches replacing hail and rain.
It is unlikely temperatures will drop below 21C.
With dozens of outdoor events planned for this weekend residents have taken to twitter to talk about the extreme weather.
