Wollaton Park was packed with festival-goers this weekend as the much-awaited Splendour hit Nottingham.
Taking place across the whole of Saturday July 20, the park played host to five different stages with various artists and talents playing across the day.
Despite the early morning rain, crowds of fans took to their deckchairs and picnic blankets to listen to the various entertainment on offer.
Headlining the event was breakthrough singer Tom Odell, who closed the day's events on the main stage at 9:30pm to a whistling crowd.
Musical talent Foxes also joined in on the proceedings late afternoon, with evening sets from Madchester legends the Happy Mondays on the main stage and Bob Geldof's new wave band the Boomtown Rats headlining the Confetti Stage.
Nottingham's own Saint Raymond a.k.a. Callum Burrows took to the main stage at 3:30pm. The 19-year-old from Bramcote is signed to Asylum, home of Rudimental and Ed Sheeran, who he opened a show for in Vienna last week, the first of a string of support slots with the chart-topper that will include two dates at the Capital FM Arena in October.
The rain returned around 5pm during the main stage set by Foxes with many running for cover.
As well as music and comedy, Nottingham's world champion boxer Carl Froch appeared on the main stage to be quizzed by Notts TV's Frances Finn about his life and career.
Dozens of stalls set up shop for the day selling merchandise, clothing and accessories.
There was also a fairground, creative workshop area and food from around the world. This included pop-up shops from the likes of Romano's Coffee, a Nottingham-based event catering company, and other various foodie options including Mediterranean, Italian and Chinese.
This marks yet another successful year for Splendour, after last year's event, which was headlined by Jake Bugg and attracted 17,000 people.
