Today's front page carries a banner headline that reads: It's a Happy Monday! The headline refers to one of the bands playing this weekend's tremendous Splendour festival. We hope it could equally apply to Post readers as they pick up today's new-look paper.
Our revamp of Saturday's Weekend Post, earlier this year, has proved so popular that we've decided to roll out the design through the rest of the week. Now, from Monday to Friday, your Nottingham Post will look fresh, vibrant and bang up-to-date.
It will still be full of the local news you love. There will be page after page of stories from local schools, businesses, hospitals, courts – and news from inside Forest and County. There will also be the shops, restaurants, bars and venues for which Nottingham is world-famous.
But, most important of all, it will still be full of people like you. Your family, your friends, your neighbours… you are all Post people.
Every day, our aim is to publish a newspaper that is packed with stories of local life that are important to you.
If you are proud of Nottingham's ancient history, manufacturing heritage and beautiful old buildings… but worried about its failing schools, boarded-up shops and traffic congestion, then we have something for you.
Like you, we are desperate for the place where we live to build a brighter and more prosperous future, with lots of happy Mondays.
