Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision between two cars in Mansfield.
The crash happened around lunchtime on Sunday on Eakring Road, close to its junction with Penzance Place.
Nottinghamshire Police said a burgundy Ford Fiesta - travelling from the junction of Oaktree Lane towards Jubilee Way - was in collision with a small red van with white stripes on the bonnet.
The red van then failed to stop and was last seen driving towards Jubilee Way. But the van was distinctive, as it was described as smoking heavily from its exhaust, as well as sporting significant damage to the bonnet from the crash.
The driver of the Fiesta was taken to Kings Mill Hospital hospital with minor injuries.
