A FORMER associate of Nottingham crimelord Colin Gunn has died, the Post understands.
Kevin Warsop, of Raymede Drive in Bestwood, hit the headlines in 2008 after threatening to shoot a police officer and blow up his home.
Armed police surrounded his house during the 24-hour siege after he refused to let officers into the property when his wife called police following an alleged domestic incident.
He later admitted to making threats to kill and threatening to damage property with intent to endanger life and was jailed for 21 months.
It is believed Mr Warsop died at his home on Saturday.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Initial enquiries were undertaken following the death of a 45-year-old man at a house in Raymede Drive in Bestwood on Saturday evening. At this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
