BRIAN Blessed, Gollum and Kermit the Frog are among the impressions an Eastwood man hopes will make him become a viral sensation.
Neil Roper, of Brookhill Leys, has posted his videos on Youtube in a bid to reach the masses and share his talent and has already amassed around 2,000 views.
Neil, described as a practical joker, is hoping the internet will help him gain notability and become the voice of his very own cartoon character.
"I'm hoping it will go viral," said the 34-year-old. "I've thought about going on Britain's Got Talent but you have to be a confident person and at the moment that's the thing I'm struggling with.
"I thought I would test the water with these videos and see what people think. If people like them I'll apply to go on the show."
His videos include a Disney fan's dream dinner party, where Mickey Mouse welcomes well-loved characters such as Scooby Doo, Daffy Duck, Shrek and Goofy to his door.
Neil, a Christmas pudding maker for Matthew Walker in his day job, puts his passion for impersonating cartoon characters down to never growing up.
"I've been doing the impressions since I was a kid," he said. "I practiced the voices of the characters I watched on TV and it's just gone on from there. It's carried on as I've grown up. I'll sit there watching Robocop trying just copying what he says."
Neil, who can do "between 50 and 100" impressions, loves entertaining wife Heather and nine-year-old step son Brandon with Shrek and Donkey impersonations and he's now trying them out on his workmates too.
"Brandon just loves Disney," said Neil. "Cartoons account for about 80 per cent of my impressions but I've definitely been influenced by films too."
Forest fan Neil also hopes to work on club legends as he increases his repertoire of voices.
"I've been trying to perfect Stuart Pearce," he said. "But I've not quite mastered him yet."
Sister Samantha Coupe, 38, of Awsworth, said: "Ever since a young age, Neil was always doing impressions, from Robocop to Chris Eubank. He was a practical joker, leaving whoopie cushions around the house, and showed his fun-loving side to family and friends as he was growing up.
"At Christmas Neil entertained with little shows to the family. My favourite impression has to be Brian Blessed. I'm pleased he has been spotted and cannot wait to see what he does next."
Friend Jackie Brady, 32, of Pinxton, added: "I think Neil could go far given the right break and it's brill he's putting himself out there. You never know how far you could get if you don't try."
