FOUR men – including one from Radcliffe-on-Trent – are to be sentenced today after a fight at Nottingham train station.
The football fans clashed at the station and a wine bottle was smashed on the head of a member of the public who intervened.
The fans had been travelling together from Sheffield and had been chanting at each other, Nottingham Crown Court heard. When they got off the train at Nottingham, the fight began.
Three of the men – Amandeep Jaspal, 37, of Leicester; Luke James, 22, of Cardiff, and Owen Harris, 21, of Grantham Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent – are due to be sentenced after pleading guilty to affray.
Brian Keenan, 47 of Oadby, Leicester, pleaded guilty to wounding and affray.
All four are due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court.
