NOTTS County manager Shaun Derry has been linked with a return to Crystal Palace to become Neil Warnock's assistant manager at Selhurst Park.
Warnock was confirmed as Tony Pulis's successor at the Eagles this morning and is said to want the Magpies chief as part of his backroom staff.
The Post understands no official approach has been made for the 36-year-old who has a close bond with Warnock having played for him at QPR and Palace.
He still has one year left to run on his contract at Meadow Lane having been appointed as Chris Kiwomya's successor last October.
He subsequently saved the club from relegation and has made a fine start to this season with Notts having lost just once in their opening four games in League One.
The other option to Warnock is Keith Curle who has been his assistant at Sheffield United, QPR and Crystal Palace.
Curle, a former manager of the Magpies, has been out of work since being sacked from his post at Meadow Lane last year.
