A woman has died after the car she was driving collided with a lorry.
The crash happened just before 8am today in the village of Ompton, near Ollerton.
The woman, who had been driving north along the A616, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was in the car, a Kia Venga.
The driver of the lorry, which was travelling in the opposite direction, was not injured. No arrests have been made.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of another HGV, believed to be an Eddie Stobart lorry, which was not involved in the crash but is believed to have been travelling in front of the woman's car.
The driver of that vehicle may be unaware of the crash.
Anyone with any information about the crash should telephone Notts Police on 101, quoting incident 234.
